Recycling & Waste

Recycling

While the city currently does not offer city-sponsored recycling, there are some options available to residents. Ottawa County Environmental Health offers a comprehensive recycling program for paper, metal, plastic, glass as well as operating several hazardous waste sites throughout the county.

For an alternative to selling or trading in your vehicle, Wheels For Wishes offers the option of donating your car to help benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan. Goodwill Car Donation also has a donation program.

Yard & Household Waste

The city provides fall curbside leaf pick up for its residents one time per year. The city also offers a spring curbside clean-up of twigs, shrub debris and tree limbs once per year. Residents may also bring unwanted household items to the Autumn Hills Recycling and Disposal Facility once per year in the spring (hazardous and/or toxic items will not be accepted).
