Welcome to our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program!

The 1000 Books Foundation is a non-profit organization that encourages strong early literacy and family bonding by encouraging parents or guardians to read with their child every day! Read any book to your child (Newborn to entering Kindergarten), then log your progress in Beanstack.  When you have completed a badge, come in to collect a sticker for your child. When you have completed all 10 badges (1,000 books), your child will receive a free book and a certificate recognizing your family’s hard work and dedication to reading!

New to Beanstack?  Follow this link to the Beanstack page and see instructions below for more information.

Using Beanstack to Complete 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Beanstack is a great way to track your child's reading for this program! Each badge represents a log that you would turn into the library. You can come to the library to get a sticker each time you earn a badge or you can wait until you finish the program. Once you have all of the badges you may come to the library to get an official certificate and a free beginner reader book!

Logging your books online through the Beanstack website or app allows you to quickly log multiple books at once! You do not have to enter the title to log a book through the website, but you will need to search for the title to log it on the app. And YES, you can repeat books!
