Come and learn the art of Botanical Printing!
In this workshop taking place Tuesday, November 7 from 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. in the West Activity room, we will print note cards, bookmarks and gift cards. Fresh plant material is coated with printmaking paints and hand rubbed onto special papers. This results in a detailed print of the leaf or flower. This simple creation turns some of nature’s beauty into a work of art. No art background is necessary and students will walk away with many prints
JoAnne will bring in a great deal of plant material but students are encouraged to bring in their favorite leaves from their gardens.
This class is for adults aged 18+ and registration is required. Starting on October 17, call the library at 616-772-0871 to register.
